Stop Menopause Estrogen Crazy
| Menopause is an important and stressful phase in woman’s life. It can be explained as a transitional time in a woman’s body characterized by the end of menstrual cycle and the beginning of the third and final phase of a woman’s life. |

Menstrual cycle and pregnancy in a normal woman is regulated by estrogen and progesterone, the two female hormones. Estrogen maintains the calcium levels in bones, reduces cholesterol levels in blood and maintains the elasticity of skin and arteries. Progesterone builds the lining of the uterus and maintains the environment inside the uterus. Menopause is a condition where ovaries stop the production of both these hormones. Menopause has three different stages. These include perimenopausal stage, menopause and postmenopausal stage. Perimenopause is 2-10 years preceding menopause and has reduced levels of estrogen and progesterone. Menopause occurs between ages 45-51 years. Postmenopausal stage is the life after menopause.
Symptoms of menopause differ from woman to woman. These symptoms are due to the effects caused by hormonal imbalance inside the body. Some of the common symptoms include irregular bleeding associated with heavy bleeding, hot flashes for short duration followed by heavy sweating and cold shivering, increased urinary tract infections, vaginal dryness, trouble holding urine, decreased sexual arousal, fatigue, sleep disorder, irritable moods, depression, thickening of waist, memory loss, loss of muscle mass, increase in fat tissue, loss of skin elasticity, joint pains and muscle stiffness.
Whenever any woman enters menopausal phase, she should take real care about her diet. Menopausal women need a higher intake of calcium and vitamin D so as to support depleted bone loss. Other things that need to be done include regular exercise, avoiding caffeine and alcohol, and getting rid of stress.
